This is another one of our tours to the natural gems of Crete.
For thousands of years, the river flowing out of the Kourtaliotiko gorge washed a deep gorge towards the sea. Today, this is place that the river called Megalos Potamos (Big River) flows into the sea. Here, on the sandy beach, you can swim both in clear sea water and in mountain fresh water.
Our bus will drop you off at the parking, from where you will go down the rocky steps (about 300 steps) to the beach. After 4 hours on the beach, we head back.
