This circuit takes us on a gastronomic journey around Terceira Island.
Morning departure from Angra do Heroнsmo towards Sгo Mateus.
This is the largest fishing village on the island and here you visit the fish market, a whaling museum and taste local fish and seafood.
We continue to Cinco Ribeiras where we stop at a local cheese factory, Queijo Vaquinha. We taste various cheeses and bread typical of Azores.
Continuing along the coast, we head towards Serreta, where we stop for a typical lunch. In this restaurant we will eat the best known dish of Terceira Island, Alcatra. As well as sausage, black pudding, fried pork, liver strips, sweet potatoes and corn cakes. All done as our ancestors did.
After lunch, nothing better than heading north and visiting the wine region of Biscoitos with the possibility of stopping at a local winery to taste local wines and liquors.
With a full belly, you still have to taste the freshness of the ice cream at Quinta dos Aзores with nice views.
